What are the best night sights for your pistol?
Two comparison images below
The best night sights for your pistol are those that give you the most visibility in low light conditions.
The Speed Sights are superior pistol sights for low light conditions for the same reason they are superior in day light
conditions. They are the largest, brightest, sharpest pistol sights on the market. If your pistol sight is highly visible
during day light, it will also be more highly visible in low light.
You also have two Tritium night sight options for your Speed Sights. “All Tritium”, that has Tritium lamps in both
the front and rear sights, “Front Only” Tritium, with a Tritium lamp only in the front sight of your pistol.
The Tritium lamps are installed by Trijicon Corporation, a U.S. defense contractor, who are a standard in the industry,
for law enforcement, military and civilian pistol night sights.
Speed Sights superior visibility has made them “Combat Proven”. Check out these real incident reports from customers
who were in actual gun fights with Speed Sights equipped pistols.

Check out the photos below below that compare Speed Sights night sights and ordinary night sights for pistols, in
progressively darker lighting conditions. You can see that large fluorescent diamonds are far more visible than
the old style small round front sight. So your eyes have a larger, brighter sight picture to see and recognize even
low light.
In low light conditions, the large bright diamonds and Tritium lamp provide a superior pistol sight picture
for your night sights.
Best pistol night sights in all lighting conditions
In the image above, you can see the Speed Sights night sight picture is superior to ordinary sights that
are hard to see even in day light and that actually “disappear” in low light conditions.
Check out these links below, to articles that describe the “best night sights” but feature only
old style sights. Looking at their selection, you can easily see how much sharper, brighter and more
visible the Speed Sights are in ALL lighting conditions, especially at night.
More details and information about the best night sights for pistols
The vast majority of hand gun owners want night sights on their pistols.
Whether their pistol sights are for home defense, concealed carry or professional
police or security work, most people want to know that even in low light conditions, where
the majority of real incidents happen, they will still be able to see their sights.
When thinking of night sights for their pistols, most people are referring to
tritium night sights. Tritium night sights contain ‘lamps’ which are small metal tubes that are coated inside with
a phosphor, a material that glows when exposed to certain radiation. The tubes are filled with
exactly that, a very mild radioactive gas that makes the phosphor coating glow a green color.
Then these tubes are inserted into holes in the pistol sights. Usually, these tritium night sights then
have a white or colored ring of paint or other material surrounding the tritium lamp of the night sight.
This glow from the tritium lamps mounted on the pistol is so dim that you can’t see it during daylight
hours. Looking at your pistol sights, the tritium lamps just look like black dots in the middle of the pistol
sights. But as the light becomes more dim, the tritium lamps in the night sights begin to glow a greenish
color. The advantage of Speed Sights as night sights for your pistol is that the larger, very bright diamond
area of the sights is visible longer than the small white rings of old style pistol sights.
You can see BOTH the Speed Sight diamond sights area AND the glowing green tritium night sights on your pistol.
So this gives you the very best sight picture for your hand gun both in daylight and low light conditions.
